Kick off the ISCB ASC 2018 Conference with an evening of networking and enjoy refreshments with delegates, sponsors and colleagues. This will be the perfect opportunity to network, browse the allocated poster space and interact with authors. Beverages only are included.

Informal post-welcome Reception
For those of you who would like to continue socialising with fellow delegates we have reserved an area in two local venues: Plus 5 and The General Assembly
Venue 1: Plus 5
Location: 37 S Wharf Promenade, South Wharf VIC 3006
Plus 5 takes a little inspiration from the food traditions of Spain and Italy to bring wood fired tapas and pizza to the heart of South Wharf. Sip traditional and unique cocktails, graze on delicious sharers and tapas, or simply join us for a glass of wine at our lounge where great times are waiting to be had.

Located a stone’s throw from the CBD, next door to the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre and with impressive city skyline and riverfront views, The General Assembly is now home to one of Melbourne’s eclectic street art installations. It is a buzzy waterside pub with exposed beams and pipes, delivering hefty steaks, cocktails and craft beer.
Conference Dinner

The Conference Dinner will be a sensational event held at one of Melbourne’s beautiful heritage listed venues. Located on the riverfront, Showtime offers an exquisite dining experience with stunning waterfront and city skyline views. Enjoy an evening of networking and entertainment whilst indulging in canapes, a two course meal and fine beverages. The Conference Dinner is not included in your registration.

Early Career Researcher’s Networking Event

The Early Career Researcher’s Networking Event will provide students the opportunity to network with fellow peers at one of Southbank’s leading function venues. A private area will be assigned for the group with a private bar, and some food and drinks will be provided by the Victorian Branch of the Statistical Society of Australia. RSVP’s essential.

SSA Biostatistics Networking Event

Hosted by the SSA Biostatistics Section, the SSA Biostatistics Networking Event will take place at the Ludlow Bar in Southbank during ISCB ASC 2018. This informal event will provide an opportunity for biostatisticians from around Australia to connect and discuss what the SSA can do to help with the needs of Australian biostatisticians. A private area has been booked in the Ludlow Bar for this event and food and drink can be purchased from the bar.
